ROCK’N THE RICHMOND, VIRGINIA MUSIC SCENE WITH CLASSIC BLUES ROCK INSPIRED ORIGINALS.
Emma Garell grew up using her singing voice to speak for her. Emma is a small quiet woman that surprises live audiences as she lulls the listener into a sense of whispered magic, then out of nowhere, she belts with the power of the greats. Her early interest in showtunes evolved as she attended School of Rock (SoR) throughout her teen years. Her experience at SoR laid a powerful foundation and appreciation for musical history of all genres. Departing SoR at 17 she built her own cover band, Bismuth, that quickly grew from her covering hits by Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC into creating her own sound. Now we have “Emma Garell” supported by a team of talented and variable musicians.
Cody Mausolf acts as her right hand man as well as drummer. Cody’s roots are in doom metal and he brings a performance pattern like no other. Dylan Lawson on guitar works in studio with her for those complicated riffs while also continuing to front his own project of progressive “sad boy” metal. RVA rock guitarist Dylan Edwards just hopped on board the Emma train Spring 2021 with his 14 years of experience we can’t wait to see what influences he brings to the band. And now on bass we have the newest member, Mitchel (Evan) Bamberger. Mitchel brings his Americana experience to the band and without a doubt will weave his storytelling into those strings.
Emma has a wide range of vocal gifts, you won’t be surprised to hear a wide array of musical styling, all within the power of a haunting voice.
